TACTILE DESIGN

Had to create a 3D design while expressing the fashion designers that we respect and like. I chose Simone Rocha due to her unique style where she incorporated both feminine and masculine elements within her works.

Instead of the usual box design sample that they have shown us, I decided to use a glass tray with clear resin instead as I wanted to reflect the stained glass effect on the clear resin which was inspired by one of her exhibition at the store. However, due to the cost issues, I had to improvise and used clear plastic which can be found with photo frames and painted clear glass paint while using hot glue gun to create the 3D effect.

Designed the skullhead on Procreate Ipad and screenprinted on spare muslin before burning at the eyes to create a more "wrecked" effect.

Used acrylic cutting machine in heavy duty workshop to carve out the SIMONE ROCHA works from acrylic pieces provided
